The Top 10 Recipes of 2019!

Happy (almost) New Year! Today, I’m excited to take a peek back at the most popular and most often made-by-you recipes from 2019, as well as share a little bit about what 2020 holds for The Colorful Kitchen.

2019 was a really intense year for me both personally and professionally. I turned the manuscript in for The Colorful Family Table in December 2018, then 2 weeks later Baby L was born. I spent a huge amount of time and energy figuring out how to balance being a mama to a baby and a toddler, with running my own business and being a my own person outside of those two things. Parents who’ve been there can attest, it is not easy.

I definitely don’t feel like I’ve figured it out completely, but now that the book launch is mostly behind me (except for some fun events coming up early 2020!), and Baby L is no longer a newborn, our family is starting to find a better rhythm and I can almost see the light at the end of the insane-early-years tunnel.

I’ve really had to practice what I preach this year, and I’m proud to say that the recipes I shared on the blog in 2019 were more simplified (but just as colorful & delicious!) then ever. Even though cooking is my job, I’ve found myself stressing about what to make for dinner more in the past year than even before- and it’s helped me come up with some really tangible, simple strategies to make feeding my family even easier.
