Hello Chocolate Hummus!

I really love hummus, in fact I don’t think I’ve met a hummus I didn’t like. Not too long ago we made Balsamic Roasted Sweet Potato Hummus and today I am very excited to share my recipe for Chocolate Hummus. Thick, creamy and chocolately, this recipe is awesome because it’s like enjoying protein-packed frosting! It’s perfect for dipping apple slices or dates, spreading on toast, crackers and other baked goods. Naturally I decided to use it as icing and make cookie sandwiches…

  1. Oh I’m excited to try this! I usually make brownies using chickpeas (oh so yummy!) but now I have to try the hummus. Do you have any expirence how long it can be kept in the fridge? Because I think this would be a nice little Christmas giveaway…

  2. hello Everyone…don’t be afraid of legumes 🙂 Not only chickpeas, but lentil, beans (all kinds and sorts) taste GREAT with dates, cocoa, carob, coconut, prums, nuts, cinnamon…really 🙂 it is the same fun as with pumpkin, zuccini, spinach, which have quite neutral flavour. kind regards!
